In 10 weeks in Chicago, we will teach you the fundamentals of digital design, including User Experience (UX), Visual Design, Front-End Development (HTML/CSS/JS), & much more.
We’re a group of passionate designers who have come together to build a purely design-focused school called The Designation. There’s a beautiful revolution happening in technology where design is more important than ever. Designer-founders are generating billions of dollars in growth for their businesses. The future of innovation is a focus on the user experience. Come join us and we’ll teach you digital design.
Meet your instructors:
Our program is a 10-week course in Chicago, where we will teach you the fundamentals of digital design. Class sessions are 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. on Mondays and Thursdays. From research to coding, and from wireframing to native mobile design, we’ve overloaded the curriculum with the goal of making you a full-stack designer by the end of the course.
Here’s what some of our past students have had to say about us:
The Designation was very well designed to make starting from scratch very enjoyable. There were some AWESOME guest speakers from all over that provided awesome detail about mobile development, VC startups, & more. We even got a chance to see the innards of the famed startup GrubHub (icing on the cake)! This course was easily my best-spent money this whole year.
Dr. Chad Abed, Summer ‘13 Cohort
I signed-up for The Designation because I wanted to bring my startup company to life … I had to understand not just what to do but also how to think. The Designation provided instruction, tools, and resources to help me understand that good design is more than just a pretty logo (I’m an artist, what do you expect). It’s a well thought out process that builds on research and user-experience.
Sheila Arora, Summer ‘13 Cohort
I had looked at other options and The Designation by far was the most cost effective and time efficient. The instructors are personable, have real first-hand experience in the topics covered, and are always willing to answer questions during or outside of class. The size of the class was great. The student to teacher ratio gave all students a chance to learn in their own way.
